What to Expect
Meet & Greet
After you contact us, I will call or email to arrange for a Meet & Greet at a public location in Topsham where you and your dog can meet me and my dog Dory. If all goes well, we will confirm the dates of service. We ask that you bring proof of rabies vaccination to the Meet & Greet. We meet on leash initially, and if prudent and allowed, we can let the dogs off leash. The Meeting can last anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes.
The Right Fit
I specialize in medium sized dogs and larger who are usually active and athletic, but "chilled" and mature dogs are also very welcome! The smallest would be a Westie size. Puppies welcome even if not yet spayed or neutered. Adult dogs should be spayed/neFor insurance purposes and for the safety of all dogs, certain breeds and their mixes are respectfully declined. These include: Pit Bulls (all types), Akitas, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, Chow Chows, and Canary Dogs.
The Play Area
My yard is a large, unfenced area on a rural dead-end road. There is both shade and sun. I live on a tidal freshwater Bay and water activities are a favorite for most dogs. I have life jackets for them and safety is top priority. Having competed at national and world levels in various paddling events, I am keenly aware of water safety and I have uniquely strong paddling skills. Multiple walking and hiking trails are also very nearby.
